guess hoo's 9? Morgan!!

last tuesday morgan turned 9!! it's almost crazy that i have a 9 year old...that's right people she is almost 2 whole hands!  which is unreal because i am only 25 and i was 21 when i had her...i know i just lied, i'm 30.  yep, 6 whole hands :)

anyhoo, we planned her party and she wanted  a movie theme.  so, we decided on the sound of music, but i couldn't find it anywhere.  so i picked another kid's classic...parent trap, not the one with before she was a druggy slut lindsey lohan, but the classic with hayley mills.

i only got a couple of pics before my camera battery died. boo.  

we went with a yellow ombre balloons and streamers to mimic popcorn.  i picked up lots of big box candy from walmart and some popcorn boxes from party city, the girls loved this!  however, we will not be serving popcorn with 10 little girls in our house ever again.  with plush icky carpet and a lot of, "she knocked over my popcorn"  or "oops, oh well",  the floor ended up covered in popcorn and our neurotic border collie won't eat popcorn.  suckola.

make lemonade, right?!?  what if when you squeeze the lemons the little sting-y bastards get in the little cuts on your hands?  and did life give you sugar and water, because your lemonade is going to suck if it didn't!

sorry, i haven't posted in a while....lots of crap has happened.  i have a ton of stuff to post about though.  i have taken on a babysitting job to help with our lack of funds.  she is super little, so i do a lot of new baby holding, patting of the tushie, and feeding her. this leaves little time for projects and blogging.  not to mention all the other crap i've been dealing with.  so, i will try to get back to bliggity blogging when i have time.

this post may be laced with negative nancy-ness (please note: nancy is a lovely name), but don't be fooled i am and always will be a positive patsy!

yesterday, i walked out of the GW (pronounced: Gee-Dub, short for goodwill)  and a stupid lady hit my yukon right in front of me, pulled out and was going to leave.  are you fucking kidding me???  i proceeded to jump in front of her car and made her get out.  that's right bitch, in america we take responsibility for shit we do!  there was like no damage to my car.  a light scuff and a mark on my tire...no biggie.  but, she gets out and tells me she doesn't need this and begins to chew my ass for it.  i was like chicka what?  then i said, "are you fucking kidding me, i can call the cops and they can get involved or you can say sorry like you should have in the first place."  that's all i needed.  really.  but if you are going to chew my ass for hitting me, she is freakin lucky i had my kids with me, because i was in a bitch slap mood.  then she went a parked all f-ed up in another parking space.  what is wrong with people?!?  seriously.

kitchen design inspiration

so, our kitchen has a very strange layout.
starting this christmas break we are going to start the reno!  mainly by rearranging the cabinets we have and making the layout a little more practical.

we won't need any bar stools at the island, we don't really use them because the table is right there.

we're not losing any space and it won't cost much.  the only thing we really have to do is buy a dishwasher, cabinet pulls, build the cabinet for the refrigerator, and the shelves for next to the microwave.  i'm thinking we can pick up a window at h4h for cheap.

we have plenty of marble tiles for the countertop with the appliances and sink and mr. tsl is going to make us a butcher block top for the island!!

i am giddy like a little school girl right now.  to actually live somewhere with a beautiful kitchen is a huge dream.

when we moved in, the layout of the appliance side of the kitchen looks like this:

we have since removed the top cabinets from above the island and moved the cabinet above the stove up to accommodate for the over the range microwave i scored on cl.

after the rearranging and painting, hopefully the kitchen will look like this:

i'm trying to figure out if i want to paint them gray or black....so in all reality, the gray may be black later!
