30 before 30

I turn 30 in 138 days.  I have decided that I would like to do 30 things before then :)
So, here's my list:

1.  Lose 30 lbs-about 7.5lbs per month (totally doable)!
2. Get my wedding ring fixed- I bent the crap out of it when I was carrying in paint cans.  I don't know if that's how it got bent, or if that's when I noticed it.  But it happened in like January...needs fixed pronto!
3.  Go out to dinner only 2 times a month-only on kids eat free night!  This should help with our budget :)
4.  Finish painting the kitchen and dining room floor-yep I started it!  I should be able to post about it this week!
5.  Finish painting the green dining chairs
6.  Exercise twice a week-anything else is a bonus.
7.  Organize the kitchen cabinets
8.  Help mom decorate her house
9.  Floss daily
10.  Build a baby gate
11.  Get a mani/pedi-  I've had manicures twice, but never a pedicure!  Mom you are totally going with me :)
12.  Take vitamins everyday.
13.  Paint dresser in the garage for Morgan and Hayley
14.  Wash my face before bed every night-I am usually so exhausted I just fall asleep with it on.  Who am I kidding?  I have ALWAYS been this way!
15.  Build book shelves
16.  Do something nice for my brothers-all of them
17.  Stencil a wall
18.  Host Thanksgiving for my family
19.  Plant flower bulbs in the fall, so we have beautiful flowers in the spring!
20.  Go for a couples massage!   ;)
21.  Dress up for Halloween
22. Carve pumpkins and decorate the house at the beginning of October
23.  Make a faux fireplace mantel
24.  Make the girls' lunches everyday
25.  Declutter the house
26.  Spend less time on the computer.  Only after the kids have gone to bed, or before they are awake.
27.  Put clothes away after I fold them--I wash them, dry them, fold them and stack them on the dryer.
28.  Make dinner by 5:30 every night
29.  Teach Audrey to walk and wean her around 12 months or so.
30.  Read Janet Evanovich book 17

Library Canvas Bags

This summer we have been going to the library a lot, the kids are loving it! :)  They check out loads of books and 1 movie each every week or two.  I decided we needed library bags to keep track of our stuff, so I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a pack of 3 canvas bags for $3 ish..they were regularly around $6 and were 50% off!

They looked like this before:
Then after some house paint we made them into these:

Busting my balls....

I have busted 2 of my glass balls on my chandeliers!!  I only bought 1 replacement ball!  I broke both center balls, one I hit with the ladder while I was painting the dining room and the other I busted when I was tying some pink stars to hang from it for Hayley's bday party the other day.

Here's to hoping the Hobster Lobster (Hobby Lobby) carries those again this Christmas!  I saw them putting out Christmas stuff the other day(I may have thought they were crazy), maybe I'll go by and see if they have my balls!!

Featured over at Knock Off Decor again!!

I love it!!  I was featured over at Knock Off Decor for my Pottery Barn Picture Frame Lantern!!

Thank you so much for the feature! :)

New Porch Lights!

We have had these up for 2 weeks now and I am just getting around to telling you!
When we moved in I almost immediately started replacing the outdated lighting.
I DIY'd some Pottery Barn Bellora Chandeliers, I DIY's some Blue Mason Jar Pendant Lights and have also replaced others...more on that later.

A few weeks back we had a reunion hosted at our place and I loathed the lights outside on the porch. I also hate the very gold brass handle and kick plate on the screen door!!  I'll have to deal with that later!
I mentioned the light loathing to Mr. TSL and he asked that this be the light he was in charge of choosing.
He has good taste, so this wasn't an issue.  He did marry me after all :)  Cost however, was an issue.

He showed me these lights from Barn Light Electric.
100W Atomic Cast Guard CGU Sconce, 96-Galvanized, Ribbed Glass

Love them, but with a price tag of $189.00 each---not happening!!  We need 2 and for $378, I could redo an entire bathroom...see that here :)

So, we set out to find similar, but way cheaper and did we ever!!  Over at Hardware World the Coleman Cable Industrial Light for $17.77!!!

Sold!!  Plus, it was in Kansas City, so it was super close and only took 1 day to get here!!

Not too shabby for under $40!!
