Whoa, half way there....

take my hand and we'll make it I swear!  Whoa, Livin on a prayer!  Bon Jovi Rules!

That's right...for those of you who know me, I went there.  For those of you who don't know me, Jon Bon Jovi is my boyfriend {maybe, not in real life, but whatevs!}.

When I was little, I made up a dance to Livin' On a Prayer...I then taught the neighbor girls and my little brothers.  We all did the dance.  I know I should have been a choreographer.  My mom brought said dance up once at my daughter's talent show and I may or may not have sprayed things out my nose.

Now, back to what I have been doing....

I have been hard at work on my dining room chair project :)

If you recall, I had these 2 chairs from a while back.  They started out like this:

Then I redid them and had these:
eh, they're okay.

Then I picked up these at Habitat for Humanity:

Yep, they match the chairs in the picture above.  Yep, I have 10 matching dining chairs for $16 before paint and fabric costs.  More on that when I actually have them done.

Originally I wanted them to be green.  Fail.

Please don't judge my messy garage...fine judge it, but you know yours is too!
I think I knew after one, that green was not going to work.  But, I was Dori. just kept spraying, just keep spraying.  I finally quit.

Now, I have decided they need to be gray, grey...whatevs.  So, I have 5 finished and 5 to go.  The weather has been superb for spray painting.

Yesterday it took me 2 hours to prime the second set of 5 and paint 3 chairs gray, grey...whatever!

So, the inspiration for these was simple.  I love these, but can't afford them just yet. (I need 10...fine 8 would do, but I want 10.)  Oh, Tolix.....

So, here's a sneak peak of what my chairs look like:

I love them.  Not like I love Tolix chairs, but what are you gonna do?  I am thinking I am going to number them, sort of like the placement on these chairs:

Here is the question I ponder.  Do I number them 1-10?  Or do I number them with a 3 digit number special to us...like mine would be 128, because my birthday is December 8th?

The CMA for best new artist....

What me?!?  I'm so surprised!  First, I'd like to thank the Academy.  What? Wrong award?  That's okay, I'd still like to thank them anyway :)  I'd like to thank the fans, I'm just so stunned!  {pointing into the nose bleed seats}  This ones for you guys!  {Thrusting my award in the air}  Thank you Country Music!!

While I am in in lala land, I'll show you what I'd wear!

And my hair, I know amazing! Right?!?!

-Deliriously,

Trim should paint itself...

I have been working on the trim since last week. Not working hard.  Just when I feel like it can.  After I got the big wall done, it hasn't been that awful.

I have been painting it in chunks.  Only as far as the amount of cardboard I have to shove underneath the trim to protect the living room crapet (yep, I know I typed crapet....because that's what it is)  I am so excited to replace the crapet with wood flooring.

On an up note, the white trim only helps me to hate the crapet instead of loathing it! That's right, I'm a positive Patsy and not a negative Nancy.  (Please, note Patsy and Nancy are lovely names)

I feel like this project has been crippling me for so long....I just keep dragging it out.  I am going to try to finish it by tonight.  But, I can only work on it when Audrey is sleeping.  She likes to touch the wet paint and then try to feed it to me.  It's not delicious.

Since I am leaving you lacking in the pic department, I will show you my wish list for this room.

The couch and the ottoman!
The chairs!
Still working on those shelves :)

Display on the piano!

Love the number pillows, and the horse pic!

I love the pattern, the chair is okay.  I like a more modern chair, but the print is LURVE!
Working on this too!

& Chair Upholstered!

So, I got this chair a while back for super cheap at a flea market.  I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it until I did some pinning.  Then I got to work.....

To make do the chair, I took it apart....lots of staples and nails.
Getting all the broken caning out was a beeotch!

I had these divot holes left from the buttons, my dad (who does upholstery) told me to steam the foam and it would fluff back up...I just filled the holes with cotton balls :)

Then I needed some fabric to cover the chair, I was going to go buy some when it hit me....I have black curtains from a, I-was-in-too-much-of-a-hurry-to-decorate-because-we've-only-lived-here-a-month-and-I-am-hosting-Thanksgiving-after-just-having-had-a-baby, decorating forget it moment.  I just grabbed a curtain and started stapling.  Making sure to pull tight as I stapled.  If you have a border collie or other long haired dog, you will need either a lint roller or a sheet to lay your seat on....mine got REALLY hairy!

After, it was covered I decided to add the & which I totally LOVE!

I just filled it in with some white fabric paint that I had!

Then I sprayed the frame and painted it white.
Tiny helper is optional, she often would retreat for some R&R in the castle behind her!
After it was all said and done, I added some rope trim to the chair and put the done stamp on it!

White Trim and Black Doors

I am currently painting our trim all white....I love white trim, it looks so clean and lovely!
I have also decided to paint out flat builder grade doors all black.  I'm sure Mr. TSL will love this (being sarcastic... did you get that?!).  Eventually, I want to add trim to the doors, but until then black it is!

I already have all the paint do all this, it's just a matter of actually doing it.  So, today I committed to starting.  I taped off all the trim, so it can be finished.  I started a while ago, painting around the doors and windows...now just the bottom trim...blah.  But, it's got to be done.

Inspirational pics from Pinterest:

I eventually want to add trim like over at Little Green Notebook, she is amazing!  I love the double trim and it looks so much better than the icky flat doors!  Eventually, my pet, eventually! (Tapping my fingers together and laughing my evil laugh...moohahahaha!)
